In the Studio

Studio is a space where the creative process meets practice. It is a place of painting, writing and meditating, transforming thoughts into action. Markus Heikkerö’s studio is not unlike any other studio. It has everything necessary, pens, brushes, paints and canvases. The walls are covered in sketches and notes. The artist is surrounded by an increasingly dense network of recorded ideas and references, which in the solitude of the studio serves as an interlocutor and guides his thinking when necessary.
